The best day of the year -- an undefeated season thus far. We're 18 hours before kickoff. Some thoughts and reflections (knowing that 21 hours from now I may be eating my words):
1. Paul Thompson just needs an average productive game tonight. Complete half his passes. More than half his third down conversions. And no more than one turnover. Nothing special. Then he's set for the rest of the season, with confidence.
2. Rufus Alexander MUST stay healthy. We can't afford to lose another LB -- especially the best player on the team (other than Adrian Peterson).
3. The Oklahoma Legislature should authorize all law enforcement officers to shoot any sports agent on site who comes close to Peterson or his family.
4. We're hoping the concession stands are still selling those Bar S brand weiners. Yum.
5. Trying to pick the Miami-Florida State game is like chosing between Osama and Kim Jong Ill.
6. Isn't Mark May gay?
7. Here's a dollar that says Mack Brown will be playing two quarterbacks before the season is over.
8. I wonder if Alex picked up his student ticket? He might be watching the first game from in front of a TV, eh?
9. The over-under on the number of carries by Peterson against Alabama-Birmingham is 30.
10. What's a Blazer? We though it was a hockey team.
Sooner!
